Yee Sang/Yu Sheng overrated?

The tossing of “YuSheng” are much commercialized and highly overrated. It used to be an event very much anticipated on the 7th day of the Lunar New Year, 人日” Yan Yat” which directly translated to the birthdays of everyoneor the day when human being were created. It is tossed to mark the new year and a year wiser to those we put their chopsticks into the plate of wonderful and colourful delights.
However, sadly to say that these days, restaurants have been so aggressive in pushing sales, even as early as two weeks to the Lunar New Year, the ” Yu Sheng” is recommended and served to patrons.
I can’t deny that I am one of the ignorant “patron”, btw, do you count Sushi King’s mini “Yu Sheng” as really a genuine one? I don’t think so. Hence, I did not break the rule and let us count down to the 7th day! Gong Hey Gong Hey!
